Last updated: July 2026. This notice applies to information submitted through the QUANTREX website, email, telephone, WhatsApp and formal quotation processes.
2. Information collected
This may include names, job titles, organisations, contact details, delivery areas, product requirements, part numbers, equipment details, RFQ references and documents voluntarily supplied for quotation or fulfilment.
3. Why information is used
Information is used to respond to enquiries, understand technical requirements, prepare quotations, source suitable products, administer accepted orders, coordinate delivery, maintain commercial records and meet legal or audit obligations.
4. Limited supplier sharing
Only the technical and commercial information reasonably necessary to obtain pricing or fulfil an order is shared with suppliers or service providers. Customer identity, tender details and confidential downstream terms are not routinely disclosed to suppliers.
5. Delivery and service providers
Contact and delivery information may be shared with couriers, logistics providers, payment or hosting service providers when necessary to provide the requested service. These providers are expected to handle information for the agreed purpose.
6. Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for quotation history, contractual performance, tax, audit, warranty, dispute and legal purposes. Records are then securely deleted, destroyed or anonymised where appropriate.
7. Security
QUANTREX applies reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect business and personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Website and form data
The hosting or form-service provider may process technical information such as IP address, browser data and submitted form content to deliver and secure the website. The site does not use advertising cookies at launch.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, a person may request access to, correction or deletion of personal information, or object to certain processing. Identity verification may be required before a request is completed.
10. Contact and complaints
Privacy requests may be sent to info@quantrex.co.za. A person may also lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator.
Formal access requests: QUANTREX will make its PAIA information and prescribed request process available as required. Sensitive company, customer, supplier and banking records are not published openly on this website.
